Pictures of books — lots and lots of books — well-cared-for and held in beautiful settings are an incredibly sensual experience. Don’t you think? Check out these gorgeous photos, taken by Candida Hofer, (and available in her book titled Libraries). Breathtaking photos of libraries from around the planet. More of her work is available here.
A quick update on the unsolved murder of nationally known book collector, Rolland Comstock, whom I’ve blogged about previously (here and here) over the last few months. His daughter, Faith, is going to be allowed to pursue her wrongful death suit in civil court, even though the mother may eventually be charged in the criminal courts. Alberta Comstock (the mother of Faith and ex-wife of Rolland) still hasn’t been named a suspect but remains a person of interest by investigators. Regardless, Alberta Comstock’s attempts to delay or dismiss Faith’s civil suite have failed. A judge has determined the civil case can and will proceed unfettered. We should hear more on this as the facts begin to be unfolded for us. Stay tuned.
A few weeks ago I posted about the sad but intriguing murder case of noted book collector, Rolland Comstock. Charges still haven’t been made, but the police have tentatively said we might see charges and arrest in January or shortly thereafter. I’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
